Graphenea is a leading company in the manufacture and supply of graphene products and materials for industrial and research purposes.

Burdinola worked on the design and installation of the new laboratories at the Central University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA), a flagship hospital in the Principality of Asturias. The HUCA laboratories are equipped with the most advanced solutions in terms of space and infrastructure, as well as technological and scientific equipment and programmes, thereby facilitating modern medical practices at a European level.

Burdinola has worked on designing and installing the new BIOCRUCES laboratories. The BIOCRUCES Health Research Institute was set up in 2008, with the aim of promoting research into biomedicine, epidemiology, public health and health services, in accordance with the strategy proposed by the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII) to develop these entities as organisational structures for promoting and carrying out research in hospitals.
It has 58 research groups made up of a team of 600 professionals who work in seven areas: maternal and child health and assisted reproduction; cancer; diabetes, metabolic and kidney diseases; auto-immune and inflammatory diseases and infections; the nervous system; surgery and primary care in prevention and chronic diseases.
