Burdinola's interest in contributing to the recognition and encouragement of the scientific community materialised in 1993 with the creation and first edition of the Burdinola Research Award. This year we are resuming this initiative with the 17th Burdinola Research Award.
The theme chosen for this year's edition is on the field of nanotechnology; advances in personalised and regenerative biomedicine. Nominations can be submitted until November 15 and the jury will announce the winner of the 17th Burdinola Research Award before December 30.
Once again this year, Euskoiker has collaborated with Burdinola in running the award. Euskoiker is a foundation, a non-profit organisation, which aims to promote relationships between the UPV/EHU and society, contributing to the recognition of research activity.
We are now at a point where research is more necessary than ever due to the situation we are experiencing with COVID-19. That is why Burdinola wants to continue contributing to the recognition of researchers, and we are backing them now more than ever by doing our bit to ensure that science continues to move forward.
