Burdinola continues its commitment to the Adecco Foundation's #EmergenciaPorElEmpleo project

In the midst of the biggest health and economic crisis of recent times, BURDINOLA has reinforced its social commitment to alleviate the effects of the pandemic on the most vulnerable people in the labour market.

Adecco Foundation's #EmergenciaPorElEmpleo project

The programme, which is promoted and backed by the Adecco Foundation, with the support of 21 public and private entities, including Burdinola, has raised a total of 1,623,187 euros to date, which has made it possible to assist 1,193 family units at serious risk of social exclusion to access employment.

This initiative was activated in June last year to mitigate the social effects of Covid-19, which could push 6 million citizens into situations of inequality, exclusion and/or poverty, reaching 31% of the population, compared to the pre-pandemic 18%.

Since then, 21 companies have committed to this initiative: Endesa, Grupo Ebro Foods, Consum,  Cooperativa Valenciana, Verallia, Gioseppo, Burdinola.Safer labs, Grupo Macho, Orange,  Talgo , EY Building Better, Sealed Air, Berger Levrault, Generali, Cargill, Cofarte, BBG, PRAHealth Sciences, Fundacion Caixa, Ebrofundación and The Adecco Group.

Towards achieving SDGs

The #EmergencyPorEl Empleo initiative comes at a time when partnerships are the strategic pillar for achieving any social goal, as reflected in SDG 17 of the 2030 Agenda.

The programme is also in line with achieving SDGs 1 (poverty reduction), 5 (gender equality), 8 (decent work and economic growth) and 10 (reducing inequalities).

That is why BURDINOLA embraces the maxim of the 2030 Agenda, to leave no one behind and to build a new normality that is inclusive from the outset. Employment is one of the main pillars of the Sustainable Development Goals and BURDINOLA has joined forces with the Adecco Foundation to make it available to everyone, particularly those who have been most affected by the pandemic.
