Burdinola, Innovation Award 2021

The Bilbao Fine Arts Museum hosted yesterday a new edition of the Vodafone DEIA Innovation Awards

The 2021 Innovation Award belongs now to Burdinola, in recognition of our more than 40 years as a benchmark in our sector, with a systematic planning of our innovative activity, collaborating with other agents to implement innovations in our products, processes and way of organizing ourselves. or to reach the market. It is a recognition among the more than 150.000 companies located in the Basque Country.

Mikel Martínez, CEO of Burdinola, highlighted the latest innovation in the field of nanoparticles, the Nano Chamber, the only equipment on the market specifically developed for working with nanoparticles that guarantees maximum safety, both for the user and for the sample. 

It should be noted that we have recently obtained a global score of 91,56 points out of 100 according to a scoring system based on the degree of progress of the company in the different areas that define our innovative profile,  carried out by Innobasque.

Versia, Aernnova, Grupo Spri, Haizea Wind Group and Keynetic are other companies and institutions awarded as well yesterday evening.

The event was attended by the Minister of Economic Development, Sustainability and the Environment, Arantxa Tapia, the General Director of VODAFONE Spain, Daniel Jiménez, the Deputy for Economic Development, Ainara Basurko, the Councilor for Economic Development, Trade and Employment, Xabier Ochandiano. As well as the general management of the Basque Agency for Innovation, INNOBASQUE, Leire Bilbao; and the vice-rector of the UPV's Bizkaia Campus, Gorka Moreno.
