The project
AMGEN (Applied Molecular Genetics InC), is an American multinational biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Thousand Oaks (California), and with different locations all over the world, such as Ireland’s; working in both the commercial and research & development organisations.
Amgen is committed to unlocking the potential of biology for patients suffering from serious illnesses by discovering, developing, manufacturing and delivering innovative human therapeutics.
They have presence in approximately 100 countries and regions worldwide and their innovative medicines have reached millions of people in the fight against serious illnesses. They focus on six therapeutic areas: cardiovascular disease, oncology, bone health, neuroscience, nephrology and inflammation. Their medicines typically address diseases for which there are limited treatment options, or they are medicines that provide a viable option to what is otherwise available.
Burdinola has been responsible for the creation of the laboratories and has approached the project in an integrated way, carrying out labplanner services, adapting the facilities, as well as taking care of the supply, assembly and installation of furniture and equipment.
