Burdinola has been awarded the contract to carry out the largest private laboratory project in Latin America at The Pontifical Javeriana University in Bogotá (Colombia). This achievement reinforces its international presence and adds to the more than 7,000 projects already carried out by Burdinola.

The Pontifical Javeriana University is one of the most recognized in Latin America and has 18 hectares of land and approximately 202,988 square meters of construction.

Burdinola will be in charge of the technical equipment, laboratory furniture, fume cupboards and other extraction equipment for the Faculty of Sciences building with a total of 74 laboratories: 13 for common research areas, 25 for unified research areas and 36 for common teaching areas.

The total investment for the building designed by the architect Daniel Bonilla will be $130 billion with a total area of 19,060 m2 spread over 12 floors and a platform with 3 basements. The technical spaces for well-being, comfort and a green platform in accordance with the environmental care of the University will provide students and researchers with the possibility of developing collaborative projects with social impact, excellence and responsibility. These laboratories will allow processes to be optimized and foster interaction and collaboration in the areas of physics, biology, mathematics, microbiology, nutrition and biochemistry, chemistry, biomedical sciences and the Institute of Inborn Errors.

Continuing with the commitment of The Pontifical Javeriana University, materials that are friendly to the environment, easy to maintain and long-lasting have been used. The building already has preliminary environmental certification (design stage) Edge Advanced.

With this project, Burdinola keeps growing and fulfilling the objective of being the market leader in the countries where it has a subsidiary or delegation, as is the case of Colombia.
