Biopôle is one of the largest life sciences campuses in Europe. CI2A Alcalá Interdisciplinary Research Centre

Alcalá de Henares. Spain

Burdinola has been commissioned to design, manufacture, install and equip the new centre of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The Alcalá Interdisciplinary Research Centre (CI2A) is the largest CSIC building constructed in the last 10 years.

LUCIA University of Valladolid

Valladolid. Spain

The LUCIA Building, located on the Miguel Delibes Campus of the University of Valladolid, hosts laboratories for nutrition, metabolic disorders and communication and information technologies.

It is a lab building with spaces for spin-offs related to nutrition, food and dietetics (2,100 m2), metabolic disorders (2,100 m2) and the development of the digital knowledge society (950 m2). There is a total floor space of 7,500 m2. Burdinola was responsible for equipping almost 5,000 m2 of laboratories and also contributed to the LEED Platinum certification for sustainable buildings awarded to the building.

KABI Business Incubator 612 Building

Zamudio, Spain

Burdinola was responsible for equipping the different laboratories and research areas in the Kabi 612 building with a total floor area of 4,500 m2, providing services to the vast majority of companies located in the Zamudio Technology Park. The park is currently part of the Basque Country's technology park network, which covers a surface area of 213 hectares and 223 companies.

ISCIII Instituto de Salud Carlos III

Majadahonda. Spain

Burdinola designed and constructed the laboratories of the new National Microbiology Centre (CNM) at the Carlos III Health Institute in Majadahonda, Madrid. The Carlos III Health Institute is the main public research body which finances, manages and carries out biomedical research in Spain. With more than 8000 m2 equipped by Burdinola, it is the national reference centre for detecting and analysing organisms that cause emerging diseases.

FINBA Foundation for Biosanitary Research in Asturias

Oviedo. Spain

Burdinola designed, developed and installed the new FINBA laboratories. There are more than 3,500 m2 of laboratories dedicated to biomedical research. These laboratories are home to six research teams, whose main lines of work focus on cancer, immunology, cellular ageing, renal disorders and pulmonary diseases. Burdinola was responsible for the lab planning and equipment in the new laboratories.
